Hope Elizabeth Baskerville is a third-generation preacher of the gospel, certified leadership and life coach, church strategist, and the visionary behind The Hope Project—a faith-based initiative dedicated to equipping people and churches to grow with grace, clarity, and purpose. Known for her discernment, strategic insight, and heart for holistic ministry, Hope is devoted to building systems that nurture the soul, strengthen the structure of church life, and develop the people who serve within them.

A native of Newport News, Virginia, Hope was raised by parents who were both entrepreneurial and the other a pastor—instilling in her from an early age a deep love for the Church and a strong vision for ministry and marketplace excellence. She now serves in full-time ministry at The Place of Change under the leadership of Dr. C.D. Rouson, where she helps translate vision into strategy, align leadership teams, and cultivate sustainable environments where volunteers and ministry teams can thrive.
A seasoned professional with more than 14 years of experience in corporate marketing within the real estate and insurance industries, Hope brings a unique blend of marketplace expertise, production insight, and ministry acumen. Her ability to lead with both professionalism and pastoral sensitivity makes her a trusted voice across both sacred and secular spaces.
In May 2025, Hope completed her Master of Divinity at the historic Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University, graduating with the highest honors of her class and receiving the distinguished Samuel Horace James, Sr. Theological Award. She is currently pursuing her Executive MBA at Virginia Union University, expanding her focus on leadership, strategy, and church management.
A daughter of the Black Pentecostal Holiness tradition—now serving in a non-denominational context—Hope is passionate about empowering anyone in ministry, redefining volunteer culture, and creating spaces where faith and function can coexist.
Hope is the proud wife of Mr. Darius A. Baskerville, a fellow minister and full-time corporate executive, whom she affectionately calls her Mister and Cool Breeze. Together they model a life of purpose, partnership, and faithful service, both in the Church, marketplace, and the world.
